In Part 1 I told you about my having gone from an office at Universal Studios, to getting canceled before even beginning our production. I was out of money, out of an office, and out of time.

I was invited to a meeting for an MLM company. The only reason I went was to find a motivational speaker or some happy, outgoing, friendly people.

Days later I found myself in this MLM company. What was I, nuts? But because the product worked and the people were great, I started to get excited. But having had a “prestigious” position, being a producer, radio/TV talk show host, etc., my ego dictated that I feel as ashamed as I was excited.

In the years that followed, I learned a lot and then became close minded to anything doing with MLM/network marketing. This, even though I was still giving seminars and consulting to large international companies.

The Challenge With MLM/Network Marketing
Products, companies, compensation, and potential are easily over-hyped by eager, fearful, greedy, or dishonest distributors or companies. When they sponsor new distributors who don’t understand the basics of the business, and then they fail, there is a compounding and cascading negative reaction.

First, the hustled distributor is angry or depressed, then his or her friends, some of whom are also distributors are left feeling upset, and then all the people they tell about it can also point to MLM and say, “See, those deals don’t work.”

My excitement in the beginning of that first company led to my shock that others didn’t “get it” too. I felt like the poster boy of rejection. I can easily use the word hate here. I hated rejection! But in hindsight, it turned out to be my greatest teacher.

Along the way I became “The World’s Foremost Authority On Rejection And Failure.” How’s that for a (self-proclaimed) title? I even wrote a book about it. “How To Take No For An Answer And Still Succeed.”

Easy Or Hard?
I developed a saying for that business. If you think this will be hard, it won’t be as hard as you think it will be. If you think this will be easy, it won’t be as easy as you think it will be.

For those who think of overnight success, forget it. There is no such thing as an overnight success, only overnight failures. For those who fail and keep going, they will eventually see the success they desire. But the decision to quit is instantaneous, not even overnight.

Set It And Forget It? Forget It
My friends who are now making 6 figure incomes monthly stay at it, although it’s certainly not nearly as difficult as it was in the beginning. One of them lives a couple of miles from me in a 17,000 sq. foot home. He continues to build, albeit in luxury and with lots of toys, even while on vacations. He’s been at it for 20 + years. Can he retire? Sure. But it’s now easy for him, second nature. He loves it.

Recession Proof?
You’ll hear that a lot. That’s not an entirely accurate statement. It’s actually recession friendly. Let’s face it, when someone who wouldn’t have considered that kind of work in the past gets laid off, or is afraid of that, they look at new things.

Billionaires like Warren Buffet, known as a very savvy investor, are buying network marketing companies. Why? Because a well run company can flourish in almost any economy, given the right products and promotions.

Choosing A Company
This can be tricky. But the absolute rule of thumb, the one that made it possible for me to get involved the first time, was the product. You must like or better yet, love the product above all else. If your sponsor is selling you a “money deal,” he might make some, even a lot, but not for long.

A recent example was a friend of mine, a retired chiropractor. She’s not money motivated. She lives a very comfortable life and she’s often been approached about an MLM product/company opportunity. Not interested.

She’s had arthritis for some years. But she remained active. Then, last year, the pain hit her extra hard. Nothing could relieve it long enough for her to resume her active life. She was practically home bound for a year.

Her chiropractor asked if she’d be willing to try something that might seem a bit “outrageous.” It had worked for other patients, and of course that kind of pain will drive a person to be open to possibilities.

It worked. Not just for her pain, but other maladies, from her energy level to her ability to sleep better. It was an MLM product. She didn’t care. She wanted the product and she wanted to share it with others.

Is she telling the world? Of course. Does she have one lucky sponsor? Oh, yes! Does she understand the compensation plan? She’ll take the money gladly, but her focus is what this did for her and what she hopes it will do for others.

Is it a stable company? – Although I made very good money with brand new companies all those years ago, many of them didn’t make it beyond two years. So I adopted the selection rule that said not to enter any company less than 18 months old. That was then, though it must still be a consideration, but not an absolute, and for good reason.

Today, with all the compliance issues and and other costs, it’s not at all easy to start a new company. Some new companies, with superior products, good financing and even product histories that are longer that the corporate birth dates are flourishing fast.

My chiropractor friend’s company is a good example of that. Less than the minimum age by my rule, yet they look like they’ll make it big time. Why? The product and its benefits are immediately (in most cases) demonstrable. People will either buy it on the spot or try it and find out.

It’s a flexible world. However, if rule 1 is observed, a belief in the core product line, you only have to assess by your risk/reward ratio.

How much time and money do you have to risk? That business model gives all newcomers the opportunity to begin at their own pace. Current day regulations don’t permit a company to force new distributors to purchase anything to get involved. Usually a minimum starting cost of less than $100 for materials or websites.

However, commitment is key with any selection. A dedicated amount of time daily to become both educated and activated are absolutes. Even if it’s only an hour a day. Even those who sponsor a “heavy hitter” in the industry can’t sit back and relax. It’s a building process to see profits rolling in through the mailbox. Obviously some money is required to get your own products or samples, but certainly minimal by any other business model.

Full Or Part-Time
You simply cannot begin in that industry full-time without other cash flow or (be careful here) savings. It will take time, diligence, a spin through a learning curve and enough rejection to be really educated in what will work for you. The latter was the best teacher I had.

You have to make a commitment to yourself not to quit to early. Not to make an emotional decision out of frustration or anger. But reconsider, what was it that brought you to decide to do this in the first place? If the product is true and the driving force for you, is it still? If not, why not?

For The Entrepreneur – Internet Marketing OR MLM?
I love Internet marketing. As you may know I’ve been consulting to businesses and entrepreneurs plus developing and marketing my own products and those of others.

What many people miss is that anyone who has a commercial blog or website is in Internet marketing. So too is MLM today. Of course, it has some vastly different components.

Internet marketing is, for the entrepreneur, a solo enterprise. There’s a lot to learn, but it’s not difficult, but it is time consuming. Understanding blogs, websites, even if only to guide a technician to set them up for you is required.

You can get up and running pretty fast in that world, but not nearly as fast as the hype artists would have you believe.

MLM/network marketing is quite unique. A good company will have a mirror website, a professionally done information center connected to your distributor ID where you can send people to check out the products and/or the opportunity.

That kind of company will have solid support, but the real basis for support are those who sponsored you and their “uplines” many of whom will be paid in direct proportion to your productivity.

Ideally the MLM distributor will have multiple layers of support and potential support. As long as he/she shows a willingness and intention along with positive activity those people (uplines) will pay attention to you.

This is truly the international day of the entrepreneur. An MLM distributor may be able to sponsor and sell products all over the world, depending on where their company is authorized to operate.

By using Internet promotional models, you can attract unlimited amounts of people to look at your products and your opportunity.

Final Caution: All business is built on relationships. This is especially true in direct marketing. The strongest organizations will be built first through your personal connections and relationships. Maybe not your close friends, but people you know and who know you. People you can easily interact with, not via faceless email flurries.

I’m seeing vast changes in the MLM industry now. It’s more open and accommodating to the average beginner than it ever was. Online training and technology has vastly improved the learning curve.

The only question is the distributor’s will to keep going, which is true no matter what business your in.

I recall a speaker in a training session saying once; “If it is to be, it is up to me.”

But then that’s true of everything, isn’t it?

No excuses!

Imagine this. You’re a TV producer with an office at Universal studios. You’ve also been on air as a TV and radio talk show host. You’re driving a late model sports car and riding high.

Your partner is a TV star and you lunch daily with or around the stars in the Universal commissary.

Then, without warning, the network that you thought you had a real deal with decides you don’t. They cancel before you can get started. You’ve got other projects on the burner too. You’ve put a lot of your own money into the business and are depending on this next production to keep you going.

The studio calls you the same day and gives you 48 hours to vacate your office space, since it’s contingent upon your producing a show there.

I not only can imagine that, I lived it. Though it was years ago, I can still recall the fear I felt at the time. What would I do now? What
could I do? Cash flow was
non-existent, another project would be costly and time consuming. I had neither the money or the time.

To me, at least today, that’s part of the excitement of living. You just can’t predict anything with certainty. Had you predicted my next
move and told me, I would have laughed out loud.

I was depressed, and in need of some kind of external motivation. I literally prayed for some sign to show me my next move.

Though I had another day before I had to move out of my office, when I walked in the next morning, the studio had removed the
furniture and put my personal things in boxes lined neatly against the wall. The sign on my door had already been removed. I stood
there looking at the only thing left. An office chair, which I owned. The phone was sitting atop of it and it began to ring.

“Hello,” I said with a less than enthusiastic voice.

The voice on the other end almost shouted, “Tom! Wow, it’s great to catch you. How are you? It’s been awhile!”

“Who is this?” I demanded. No one should be that enthusiastic unless they’re trying to sell me something, I thought.

Dave was a guy I’d met a few years before. He was a young and inspired eager beaver always looking to make a killing in business. But the only thing getting killed was him. One bad deal after another. But he kept going.

Then he found MLM and it was like a religious experience for him. Totally convinced that he’d make his fortune there, he called me, not once but several times. “Wow, this is such a great opportunity and people are making a lot of money. . .” He’d proclaim.

Unfortunately, he was always with a “new and exciting company.” When asked about the last exciting company he shrugged it off and went back to telling me, or trying to tell me about this new one.

I liked him, but of course I had no use for that kind of “opportunity.” I was a TV PRODUCER (puffing chest). The first couple of times he’d called I was polite. Though eventually I got pretty steamed about these kinds of calls from him, I tried to be gentle, cutting him off (at the knees) as soon as possible, letting him know it wasn’t for me. Not then, not ever!

Now, within thee months, another call from good ol’ Dave with another opportunity. I was miserable and almost hung up on him. But then I remembered that some years before I’d attended a couple of these meetings. There was always a motivational speaker, lots of enthusiasm and excitement. I had no interest in the business, but I wanted to be around that kind of environment, the sooner the better.

He was inviting me to another meeting for another company to be held that night. As he was excitedly extolling the virtues of this company as fast as he could, hoping not to get cut off. I cut him off. “I’ll go,” I said.

“Whaaaat?” He cried. “Really? Wow!” Then silence. He reminded me of a dog that always chases cars and then catches one. Now what?

Of course, I had no intention of getting into such a deal. Though what happened after that was almost hilarious, along with unreal timing, well, let me just say that I joined this company. I could not believe I was doing it either. Good grief, from Universal Studios to MLM. I tried not to think about it. I was desperate.

They had a product with a lot of testimonials of many years and one that I could test for myself, which I did. It worked even better than they were promoting it.

I just went for it. When I knew it was a good product, I told everyone.

In less than a year, I made more money by accident than I’d ever made on purpose in my life. I was as lucky as I was well trained.

This was before Google and the Internet. The competition was slight, the compensation was dismal, at least compared to today, but we didn’t know better. There was a severe recession, yet it was an entrepreneur’s paradise.

It was an automotive product, yet I had an MD, two authors, a professional athlete, actors and others from all walks of life in my downline. What a time!

After a couple of years I sold the business and moved on.

I stayed within that industry for several years, I had many other business interests too.I became a leading speaker/trainer and consultant.

I owned a percentage of a couple of companies and I became a founding board member of the MLMIA, an non-profit group that was dedicated to promoting ethics in that industry.

However, as the industry grew, I eventually became disgusted with it. Even though there were many fine companies, so many were coming and going out of business, harming people who’d worked hard to build their groups, I formed a major mistrust of the entire industry.

I’d almost always been an entrepreneur and that didn’t change. My consulting company went on to work with major corporations such as American Airlines, Entrepreneur magazine, as well as several MLM companies around the world such as Rexall, Nikken, and others.

I only joined companies as a distributor if I wanted their products at wholesale. There are a lot of great products sold through MLM/network marketing, and though I’d formed a prejudice towards the industry, I couldn’t deny the high quality of several of these company’s product lines.

Over the years I’ve watched the industry from afar. As friends of mine entered a new company or founded them, and tried to entice me to join, I politely declined. Today, some of them are making six figures a month, while others failed.

Some time ago I began looking more closely at the current state of the MLM/network marketing industry.

When it comes to MLM, the word “hate” is used a lot by people who’ve had negative experiences or know others who have. Most of us have been approached endlessly by uncle Fred or aunt Edith to join with them in their “new exciting company.” Only to see them fail, at least most of the time. For those who’ve had bitter experiences, the word hate may seem justifiable.

Then, when one of them succeeds, it’s easy to look back and think you were too late.

I don’t care for the word, hate. It’s overly harsh in most all cases.

In part 2 I’ll show you why you should mistrust MLM and why you should know more about the 21st Century version of the business. I’ll also give you some guidelines in case you’re actually thinking of joining such a company.

Uh, okay by me. I thought maybe I was missing something. Maybe I was and am, though these types of posts have dwindled.

Then there were (and are) those who only posted when they had something to sell.

Many like to send out quotes they like, which is great sometimes, and better than the egg people. Sometimes I wonder why they don’t impart their own wisdom. Hey, we all have it.

I’m open to why people do certain things that I don’t understand, and even though I’m judgmental at first, I’m curious. Some of them may come through with helpful stuff.

I hope to always think before I post. I hope I can be of help, and in so doing, show that what I have to offer, once people get to know me, and they see that I could be of help to them as well. And some won’t.

It’s never been easy. Up until a few years ago, there were few tools to make it easy, especially for us non-techies. But there was also less competition.

Now, it seems that everyone who makes a dollar on line has become an “expert” and is hawking some “new” “Make A Million Dollar,” “Super Software,” blah blah blah crap.

But what tools we have now! There’s never been a time when anyone who wants to either promote a business or create just part time income, could do so this easily and fast.

Unfortunately, it’s hard to know who the authentic experts are, and who to choose to buy from and what to buy.

I have a PhD in Internet crap because I’ve bought so much of it. I’ve seen and/or met many of the top Internet money earners, many of whom are good at promoting but lousy at teaching, or worse, who got lucky and really don’t know what works now. Some just pass on old junk that anyone who knows better wouldn’t use now.

Most “gurus” can’t teach, or can’t do it well. As a long time professional speaker and trainer, I’ve been appalled at some of what I’ve seen online and at live seminars from some of the “gurus.”

I’m no guru by any means. But I’ve been watching them, buying from many, learning from few, and have found a very few authentically good trainers who make money online from legitimate endeavors, not just selling how to make money online.

One powerful life changing phrase

When faced with enormous challenges many people dislike hearing about “positive thinking.” Because when nothing’s working it’s easy to believe that nothing will work. Instead of rising to the occasion, some people shut down. All problems, no solutions.

But here’s a quick and even life changing phrase for you; you are either problem conscious or solution conscious. It’s all in your focus, which sometimes must be consciously switched out of your unconscious mind. Yes, it is that simple.

How to boost your creativity

Your creative mind knows no limits. If you’re problem conscious, you’ve switched off much of your creative processing. When you shift to finding solutions, experimenting, asking questions, and researching, you’ve turned on the most valuable source you have. Your creative mind. I call this Your Inner Wizard.

You can switch on your creative mind by paying better attention to your intuition. That little voice that says, “go here instead,” “call this person now,” “post this in Facebook today,” etc. Learning to pay attention to your inner voice can literally save your business and even your life. It has for me, literally.

The Two least expensive entrepreneurial opportunities available today

There is an embarrassment of riches available to you if you live in a free society. There are many inexpensive methods to help you to be in business for yourself, even in a negative economy. I’ll focus on the two best platforms.

These are two golden doors to entrepreneurial prosperity that open to glittering goldmines of opportunities that any budding entprepreur can tap into. But caution; all that glitters is not gold.

Either or both of these opportunities may seem distasteful to some people. Primarily because they’re so prevalent and filled with promise, it may seem like everybody’s relative, co-worker, minister, rabbi, bank teller, or doctor have been involved in one or both of these types of business.

If you’ve seen others close to you try and fail in these formats, it can be tough to overcome a negative image. Or, like my dad said after my mother failed at selling soap when I was a kid, “Those deals don’t work.” Fortunately someone convinced me that some do. Some did.

They are also the most likely potential opportunities  to be abused. The exaggeration, misinformation, downright lies, and unrealistic expectations have lead to the biggest entrepreneurial casualties on any business battlefield in history. Yet there really is gold there, lots of it when you know how to find it.

There are enough truthful examples to get anyone considering entry excited. But caution is the watchword. As with any substantial opportunity, challenge and risk are always present. The good news is they are easily overcome. The bad news is they will keep coming, which is true with all businesses. If it was easy everyone would be doing it.

But just remember what Albert Einstein said, “Condemnation without investigation is the height of ignorance.” We all have built in predjucices about things that may have changed. Also, we change and our knowledge is better and our intuition sharper.

The first one is the latest and the potential gold mine of all entrepreneurism. Internet marketing, online selling, or web based business.

Anyone with a computer or access to one can enter this marketplace. There are so many free or inexpensive services that the entry cost can be as little as a few dollars. But the reality here is that you will ultimately have to spend money to make money, but in this case, especially if you’re on a tight budget, not much.

You also have to use your discrimination when purchasing how-to courses, software, books, coaching, etc. Anyone promising the magic “push button” marketing tool should be eyed with extreme caution.

Anyone can market online, even if it’s other people’s products. This is called affiliate marketing, and is the most likely place to start and even continue in any successful business.

Clickbank.com has paid out billions of dollars from tens of thousands of information products for sale and will pay you to market them too. There’s no charge to open an account.

Another large affiliate resource that handles physical products, most drop shipped for you direct to your customer, is commission Junction. This is for the more experienced online marketer, but worth checking out and opening a free account to lean more. www.cj.com

Physical product affiliate marketing companies like Amazon will set you up with your own affiliate business, also at no charge. You get compensated for every sale, made via your unique links.

Of course you can market and promote your own existing business or products too. Some have taken their limping businesses to gigantic heights via the Internet. One of the best examples of this is Gary Vaynerchuk.

In 1999, Vaynerchuk took his dad’s local New Jersey wine store online and grew it to a $60 million dollar a year business and beyond. His early use of social media, which was barely developed, plus his own ingenuity has made history. Then, 90% of the tools we have today were not available to him. It’s so much easier now.

Your mommy may have to wash your mouth out with soap after you hear this one; MLM or Multi-Level Marketing, and frequently referred to as network marketing.

Who hasn’t been hit with the latest greatest deal from Uncle Fred, your old college buddy or your best friend? It seems like it’s everywhere. It is. MLM is a multi-billion dollar worldwide industry.

In MLM the promises are great, individual failures are enormous. The latter due to two reasons, the aforementioned rejections and choosing the wrong opportunities for the wrong reasons.

MLM has suffered considerable image problems because it’s been around the longest. But also because they’ve accumulated more lies, exaggerations, distributor and business failures than almost any other industry in the free market system.

Until about twenty years ago many unsuspecting distributors were conned by unscrupulous companies/distributors to load up their garages with products that didn’t see the light of day until they were sent to dump grounds. In the US and other countries, stiff laws have now been enacted that largely reduced this type of fraud and abuse.

Unlike Internet marketers, MLM distributors operate under the guidelines and strict rules of the companies they represent. Those who try to be simultaneously involved in multiple companies are almost certain to fail.

There are innumerable products and services available from legal services to nutritional products, the latter being the most common. High profile investors such as Donald Trump and Warren Buffett have entered this industry. Larger corporations are seeing advantages to introducing new products via this platform.

If the MLM distributor makes a commitment and sticks around long enough, he or she can be wildly successful. This takes the right combination of effort, the right company, products, and support, but it happens with greater frequency than most people realize.

Note: many new companies teeter close to failure for some time. MLM companies younger than eighteen months old have an abysmal failure rate. You have to do your research about both the company, the founders, and your support team (called an upline) of distributors. Of course being first in with an exciting unique product can have rewards too. It’s all about the risk/reward ratio.

Important, you don’t have to accept the first person who invited you into a company. You must choose a sponsor carefully. Of course you may choose to go with a good friend who’s also new, but find out who their sponsor is and what their upline offers. Uplines represent one of the dual support lines that distributors have, the other being the corporation.

While there is plenty of free online training for both types, the MLM distributor, when working with a substantial MLM company, can have a great deal of support, both in training and motivation. This can be immensely important to the first time entrepreneur.

The Internet marketer is largely free of these constraints, once he or she understands the techniques to marketing. They can create their own products  or market their other people’s  products through affiliate marketing.

In both areas the failure rates are high because entry is cheap and easy. They are not only easy to enter they easy to leave too. Small investments create little risk, and when it’s not as easy as thought many simply quit. They now believe that, “Those deals don’t work.”

There are thousands, maybe tens of thousands of modest to great success stories here. Of course many try and most give up too soon. It can be overwhelming at first.

But with enough research one can find the blueprints, the step-by-step plans that will make a difference in being able to pay the mortgage to buying new digs in a better neighborhood.

Both business platforms have their share of  pluses and minuses. The phrase “Companies don’t fail, people do,” has never been more evident.

How to work alone and yet have support

One of the great challenges to being an entrepreneur, especially a solopreneur, this is, working without partners or employees, is support.

You are not alone, at least you needn’t be. There are online forums, (just Google your industry or interest followed by “forum”) to seminars, mastermind groups, all available for the finding. Facebook, Linkedin, Google+, and many others have special interest groups from the obscure to the current trends. Most of which welcome newcomers.

But do this too; get out! Leave your computer and go to seminars, local networking meetings, social groups, anywhere there are people who will talk with you, even if it’s not about business. People have power, no matter who they are. One introduction can change your life. I know it consistently has for me.

How to avoid becoming an entrepreneurial “casualty”

First avoid “get rich quick” deals, offers, books, training, pushbutton success promises, etc. Don’t be a sucker!

If you’re offered an opportunity, ask tough questions of either the person making the offer or through online research.

Have realistic expectations based on your research. Even the best MLM is a long term proposition to make enough for your car payment, let alone your living expenses. The opportunities on the Internet have greater potential for some short-term income. But both should be looked at as long term opportunities with learning curves that will vary for each individual.

The ideal time to begin either of these opportunities is while you’re still employed, or you have enough revenue to keep you going. While there are some legitimate stories of those who made fast money, even ethically, you can’t know all the truth behind the story. Some may have begun with a substantial list of prospects or were helped by someone who did.

However, now, more than any other time, the tools and marketplace (customers) for all entrepreneurs have never been easier to tap into with greater potential than we have today. It’s growing exponentially too. But…

Why some may not want to be an entrepreneur…ever

Many feel safe having an employer, even if things are uncertain. Unlike our parents or grandparents, there is little job security today. Authentic security can come only from within.

The world needs good employees. They serve us all. From waitresses to Fortune 100 executives, these people make the world work. Entrepreneurs give them a place from where to do this.

Of course most people who need “job security” haven’t read this far, if at all. But just in case, for those who did, you may never want to be an entrepreneur, ever. But you may want to explore the possibilities.

Regardless of the business you’re in, the Internet should be an internal tool for promotion, sales, and customer relations. As an entrepreneur, there is no better way to communicate, brand you and your business, and create relationships with current and future customers. But…

Remember this, there are no overnight successes, only overnight failures.

The number 1 reason for most entrepreneurial failures

I’ve been a partner in companies that had hordes of independent distributor/entrepreneurs, many with little previous experience. Some of them went on to make mega bucks and run their own large companies, some of them because of the initial training they got from us.

But many failed. It was heartbreaking. It was like losing the battle then winning the war. Even in victory the casualties can be massive. In business most of them needlessly. It needn’t happen to you, but you must know how to protect yourself.

Why so many failures? Any entrepreneurial expert will have their own perspective on this, and likely we’d all be right. There are many good reasons.

Number one for me, both because it happened to me and then because I’ve counseled so many others, is rejection. I failed and restarted so often that I wrote a book on it! Now there’s an expert for you.

Most budding entrepreneurs know there will be some failure and disappointments along the way, but few are mentally prepared for what can happen in the beginning.

Every sales professional will tell you right off it’s that dreaded word, “NO.” Even if it’s not said outright it’s still a rejection. While professionals learn how to get through rejections, which makes them professionals, they never like it. Who does?

But, you might ask, what if you’re an entrepreneur but not in sales?

The Big Lie

If anyone tries to tell you that you don’t have to sell anything in this or that opportunity, walk. They lie!

Everyone, and I mean everyone is in sales. We are always selling something, if nothing more than to convince others to listen to us, to like us, to respect us, to see our point of view, etc.

Even the owner of a corner sandwich shop is selling. Either through good will, customer service, effective sineage, etc. Have I sold you on that concept yet?

If you use social media such as Facebook, Linkedin, or Twiter as tools, and you should, you’re “selling” by using the best persuasion techniques available to you.

Did you realize that actors must sell to get parts. They use their charm and good selling practices to convince producers and casting directors to hire them. Many with less talent advance over the more talented precisely because of their ability to sell. When I was in show biz I saw this close up many times.

Anyone can learn to sell, persuade, and convince, it’s not that big of a deal. Getting through the learning curve is the trick. Failure’s not fatal to your business, quitting is.

How a negative economy can boost your opportunities for success

Even in this negative, headline rich, horrid economy, the fields of potential opportunities are green and lushly filled with promise. The first challenge is sorting through all the choices. And, of course, sorting through all the lies.

Even in the Great Depression more millionaires came out the other side than had ever been before. They saw opportunities where others only saw brick walls blocking possibilities. They bought into the negative news and turned off their creativity to do little more than just survive.

Then as now the reality was stark and absolutely for real. Especially for those who fail to adapt. All brick walls to possibilities are built mentally in an instant. Here’s how to tear them down.
